WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- U.S. Park Police say the man who drove his SUV off the Arlington Memorial Bridge and into the water on Sunday may face charges.
The unidentified driver was sitting on the shore line in Virginia when authorities arrived, police said.
The driver was transported to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover, police said.
DC Police, DC Fire/EMS and U.S. Park Police continue investigating the incident. Charges are pending against the driver, police said.
The Memorial Bridge was reopened.
