ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- Road rage led to car damage, injuries and charges for six people, say Arlington County police.
Police say Sunday afternoon in the 5900 block of South 15th Street a man and a group of people got into a fight over a road rage incident. A man reportedly used a wooden post to smash the rear windshield of a car a group of people were riding in. The man was then punched in the face and five people assaulted him. His front windshield was also smashed with the same post, says police.
Five teens were charged in the incident. Eighteen year olds Lavell Jeffries and Bernard Payton and 19-year-old Jeremiah Grier, all of D.C. were charged with malicious wounding by mob. A 16-year-old male was charged with malicious wounding by mob and destruction of property, then released to his mother.
Thirty-four-year-old Maurice Cox of Arlington, Va. charged with DUI and destruction of property after receiving medical attention.
