LORTON, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax County Police say a man was arrested who is accused of involvement in an explosion and fire at a sandwich shop in Lorton on Feb. 6.
Twenty five year old Horace Thompson was arrested by police in D.C. on a fugitive from justice warrant after being released from the Washington Burn Center on Thursday. He will have an extradition hearing and then be transferred to Fairfax County. Police say Thompson will then be served with warrants for arson of an occupied building and aggravated malicious wounding.
The shop's owner was injured in the explosion at 9504 Richmond Highway in Lorton on Feb. 6 at about 10:30 a.m. Early in the investigation, police said that a man was seen running from the scene who may have suffered injuries.
