Kyle David Stefanye Charged With Burglary And Attempted Grand Larceny Of A Car In Arlington, Va.

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- Arlington County police say a Reston man tried to steal a car from a repair shop by ramming it through a bay door on Thursday morning. He was unsuccessful and police took him into custody.

The arrest took place in the 6900 block of N. Lee Highway at approximately 1:42 a.m. Police were called for a robbery in progress.

Police say 20-year-old Kyle David Stefanye was inside the garage of a repair shop and was attempting to steal a car. He is accused of turning the car on, and then trying to drive through the bay door by ramming it. 

Police say officers entered the building, and were able to take Stefanye into custody.

Stefanye is charged with burglary and attempted grand larceny of an auto. He is being held without bond.
