2-Alarm Fire Causes Significant Damage In Va.

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (WUSA) -- Fire officials reported a 2-alarm fire on Thursday at 8134 Carr Place, which is located in the West Springfield section of Fairfax County, Va.  

According to Capt. William Moreland from the Fairfax County Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the single family home to find large flames.

Moreland said the fire was quickly knocked down, but not before it did significant damage to the home.

Officials say three adults and two dogs will be displaced.

According to officials, the cause of the fire is under investigation, but it's believed to have started in the garage and then spread to the rest of the house.
