Witnesses: 2 Men In Van Left Victim Before Fleeing Scene Of Homicide

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County police are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday night in Woodbridge.

According to police, someone called police to report that while he was outside his home in the 15000 block of Cardin Place he saw a man lying in the street in front of his house. Police arrived to find the man "suffering from trauma." He was also unresponsive. When rescue crews arrived at the scene, they determined that he was dead.

Witnesses told police that two men had pulled up in a older model white van (which was "rounded in shape") outside and left the man before fleeing the area.

Police believe the incident isn't random and are investigating it as a homicide.

The two men are described as follows:

The first suspect was Hispanic, between 5'5" and 5'7" with a thin build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood.

The second suspect was Hispanic or white of the same build and height. He was wearing a black, short sleeved t-shirt with a square design with red and white colors plus a black stocking cap.

The identity of the victim is unknown but he is being examined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
