DUMFRIES, Va. (WUSA) -- A Fredericksburg woman has been charged after allegedly pushing an officer while she was being arrested on Sunday night.
According to police, at 8:49 p.m. Sunday, police arrested 30-year-old Kelly Henson Hood for driving under the influence after a crash in the 17100 block of Dumfries Road in Dumfries. They say while she was being processed at the Garfield Police Station, Hood resisted and pushed the arresting officer.
Police say the officer was able to secure her and no injuries were reported.
Hood is charged with assault and battery on law enforcement officer, driving under the influence, obstruction of justice and unreasonable refusal
She is being held without bond and has a court date set for February 8.
