BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - For the second time in two weeks, emergency responders in Bedford County have delivered a baby in a gas station parking lot.

Authorities say the most recent delivery happened Sunday at a gas station in Moneta after a couple was on their way to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. But the baby boy couldn't wait and the couple was forced to stop at the gas station.

Kimberly Sexton with the Moneta Volunteer Rescue Squad told The News & Advance (http://bit.ly/Z25kQc) that the baby was born three minutes after paramedics arrived.

Late last month, a sheriff's deputy and county fire and rescue worker delivered a baby girl in a New London gas station parking lot. Allison Key found herself cutting the baby's umbilical cord on her last night as a sheriff's deputy.
