LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- A man accused of offering tree services to a Sterling resident and taking money but never completing the work has been arrested, say Loudoun Sheriff's Office authorities.
Thirty-six-year-old John R. Kennedy, Jr. of Midland, Va. was arrested Thursday evening in Fauquier County. He is charged with obtaining money by false pretenses. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
The charges stem from allegations that Kennedy offered tree trimming services to the resident in September for a company called Action Tree Service. Authorities say he signed a contract and collected a deposit but never completed any work.
Loudoun County authorities think there may be more victims. They ask that if you paid money to him without receiving any services, that you please call Detective M. Halley at 703-777-0475.
