MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Two men already facing charges for allegedly assaulting a man who later died in the hospital are now charged with second degree murder.

John Jackson II was injured during an alleged gang-related fight in the 9700 block of Aspen Place in Manassas in March. Jackson, 20, died on May 28 as a result of his injuries, say police.

Two men, Justin Lee Finley and Stephon Damont Green, who are accused in the incident were featured as Manassas' fugitives of the week in April and later found in New Jersey in May. They were charged with Gang Participation, Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Assault by Mob.

On August 23, a Prince William County General District court judge certified the aggravated malicious wounding charges. Tuesday, September 4, Finley and Green were indicted on charges of assault and battery, second degree murder and three counts of gang participation.

Court dates for Finley and Greene will be set on Wednesday.
