WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- A boat fire that happened on Friday night at a marina was determined to be accidental, say Prince William County fire officials.
Firefighters responded to the Prince William Marina on Gordon Boulevard in Woodbridge on Friday at approximately 6 p.m. to see smoke coming from a boat. They then extinguished the fire.
One person received injuries and was flown to a hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, authorities found out that the boat was in dry dock and being worked on by the owner of the marina. They determined the fire was accidental.
According to the Fire Marshal's Office, there is approximately $100,000 worth of damage to the boat.
