MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County Police are investigating the possible drowning of a four-year-old at Westgate community pool in Manassas, Va.
Officials say 23-year-old Giovanna Emperatr Narvaez of the 7600 block of Somerset Lane in Manassas, left her five children unsupervised at the pool while she went to the front desk to sign in a guest.
According to Prince William County Police, during the time Narvaez was away from her children, her 4-year-old girl was found at the bottom of the pool only to be rescued by a 9-year-old swimmer.
Police say lifeguards gave the child CPR, she regained consciousness, and was flown to a local hospital for more evaluations.
Officials report that Giovana Emperatr Narvaez was charged with three counts of child neglect for her 3 youngest children, a 1-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a 4-year-old.
