(WUSA) -- Rob Yingling with the Washington Airports authority says there are some delays due to weather. He says that passengers need to check with their carrier before heading to the airport.
Yingling said both Reagan and Dulles airports are open and operating.
Yingling said there are some ground stops, which means that a plane is heading to Reagan or Dulles may hold at their originating airport until its safe to come to fly and land at either Reagan or Dulles.According to Yingling, it's a way for them to meter flights so not too many of them are in the air waiting to land at one time.
Yingling said planes are taking off and landing at Dulles. He also said that the storm is not having a severe impact at either airport.
