UPDATE: Beltway And Telegraph Road Closures

(WUSA) -- We have a list of road closures on the Capital Beltway and Telegraph Road Interchange for March 27 though April 6.

On Friday at 9 p.m. until Monday, Apr. 2 at 5 a.m.:

• Telegraph Road North will be closed at the Beltway to allow bridge and roadway construction. Northbound travelers will be reduced to one lane before reaching Huntington Avenue; all traffic will be required to exit by the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue. Also, Pershing Avenue access to Telegraph Road North will be closed. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to Eisenhower Avenue eastbound to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street.

• The ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to Eisenhower Avenue eastbound to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street eastbound to U.S. Route 1 South to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

• The ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to Eisenhower Avenue westbound to the Eisenhower Connector to the Inner Loop.

• Telegraph Road South will be reduced to one lane from Duke Street to East Drive for bridge and roadway construction. All Beltway access ramps from Telegraph South will remain open.

Friday at 9 p.m. through Friday night, Apr. 6:

• Telegraph Road North access to East Drive will be closed. Detour: Motorists who wish to access Burgundy Village should turn left onto Franconia Road westbound to right on Norton Road northbound to access Burgundy Road and Elmwood Drive.

Tuesday, Mar. 27 through Thursday, Mar. 29 DAILY from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Friday, Mar. 30 from 9 a.m. to noon:

• The ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for bridge construction. Detour: Motorists should take the Huntington Avenue ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

• The ramp from Telegraph Road South to N. Kings Highway will be closed for bridge construction. Detour: Motorists should take the Huntington Avenue ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 South to N. Kings Highway.

Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

• The on-ramp from Telegraph North to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should Telegraph North to Duke Street East to U.S. Route 1 South to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

CAPITAL BELTWAY CLOSURES

Friday, Mar. 30 at 9 p.m. CONTINUOUSLY until Monday, Apr. 2 at 5 a.m.:

• The exit ramp from the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) to Telegraph Road North will be closed for bridge and roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the exit ramp to Eisenhower Avenue and take Eisenhower Avenue eastbound to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street.

• The exit ramp from the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) to Telegraph Road North will be closed for bridge and roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the Pershing Avenue exit to right on Stovall Street to left on Eisenhower Avenue eastbound to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street.

Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

• The right shoulder of the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) LOCAL lanes will be closed between U.S. Route 1 and Telegraph Road for roadway construction. All travel lanes remain open in this corridor.

Monday OVERNIGHT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• Two lanes of the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed between the Eisenhower Connector and Telegraph Road for sign installation. The right lane will close at 9 p.m. and a second lane will close at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Note: The back-up date for this work is the night of Tuesday, Mar. 27.
