WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA9/AP) -- D.C. Police say there were at least two shootings early Saturday.
A little after 2 a.m., a man was shot in the chest on the 600 block of Edgewood St. N.E. Officers responded to sounds of several gunshots. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police later identified the victim as Irving Jones Jr., of Washington.
Around 3:30, a man was shot outside on the 900 block of Delaware Ave. SW. He's expected to recover from the gunshot wound in the chest. Police say the violent crime unit was not called to the scene for this incident.
According to authorities, there's no lookout in either of the cases so far.
