WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Surprise: Wednesday wasn't Doomsday. For the most part, the snow didn't even stick to roads in Alexandria but many people had the day off from work.
What to do? Sledding at the George Washington Masonic Memorial? Nope. Down in Old Town Alexandria, it was mostly a ghost town except for jewelry store worker Kathy. She told us she's married to the boss so she had to come in to work. With a girlfriend maybe looking for a ring, I asked Kathy if she might have something I could look at. She said yes, and we took a stroll into the store.
There were plenty of people at the Gold's Gym in Bailey's Crossroads. It was free enrollment at the gym this month so I figured I'd at least get a workout in.
