Speed camera vandalized in Montgomery Co.

Speed cameras and traffic signs in Gaithersburg were targeted by vandals overnight, and police say the graffiti left behind included racial symbolism. Montgomery County Police were notified of the damaged cameras located in the area of Quince Orchard Boulevard and Great Seneca Highway around 11:23 Wednesday night. Police say the lenses of three cameras were found tagged with black spray paint. The suspects also painted swastikas on the equipment and on a nearby sign that warns drivers of the camera's presence.
