NY Mom Accused of Running Massive Pot Operation

(CBS NEWS) -- Andrea Sanderlin was freed on $500,000 bond despite a federal magistrate judge's misgivings about her finances and about the friends who stepped up to co-sign for her. A federal complaint says Sanderlin, 45, of Scarsdale, N.Y., operated a warehouse in Queens, NY, that contained a "sophisticated operation to grow and process marijuana." A DEA spokeswoman said that the 2,800 marijuana plants would have been worth $3 million on the street. Author: Iris Carreras
