Around 3:30 a.m., Maryland State Police say it appears that a red vehicle was traveling on northbound I-95 when it crossed the median into the southbound lanes. It was hit by the tanker near the ICC overpass (Rt. 200). A second vehicle that appears to also have been involved in the crash came to rest in the grassy median. State police officials confirm one person was killed inside the red vehicle but they say no other injuries were reported. Maryland State Police are on scene directing traffic around the wreckage, which blocks three left southbound lanes with a single right lane remaining open to traffic.
