Stafford County officials say I-95 southbound is shut down at mile marker 133.2 just before the Fredericksburg/Route 3 exit on Friday morning for a hazmat spill. Virginia State Police say the closure will last the majority of the day. Police say two tractor trailers collided at approximately 5:15 a.m. Virginia Department of Transportation officials say all southbound traffic is being detoured at Exit 133 to southbound Route 17 Business, and then onto southbound Route 1. Traffic can return to southbound I-95 at Exit 130/Route 3 or Exit 126/Spotsylvania. Officials say heavy congestion is expected on southbound Route 17 Business and southbound Route 1 in the Fredericksburg area.
