BOSTON (WUSA9) -- The Federal Courthouse in Boston was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a reported bomb threat. Officers checked the Courthouse before clearing the building. A large crowd formed outside the front doors of the Courthouse earlier in the afternoon after reports surfaced that a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings had been arrested and that the suspect would be taken to the building. Those reports were later refuted by the FBI. Officers asked members of the media and passersby to move to the median on the other side of the street and then asked people, once again, to move even further back. Shortly thereafter people were evacuated from the Courthouse.
