Metro spokesperson Dan Stessel confirms that 60 passengers were offloaded from a train on Wednesday morning at the Brentwood yard. None of the passengers were injured. DC fire officials told us they were checking the welfare of two elderly passengers and an ambulance was requested for one person. The Metro train reportedly stopped in the tunnel shortly before 9 a.m. Stessel says the incident is related to the power problem on the Red Line on Wednesday morning. There is also a second incident at Tenleytown. DC Fire officials say crews were called for a tunnel train assist at that Metro station. We are waiting to learn more details about this incident.
