FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- The restaurant and food scene in Frederick is changing for the better, according to a story in the New York Times.
According to the Downtown Frederick Partnership, at least 13 restaurants and artisanal culinary spots have opened in the city in the last two years.
The Times says the transformation began in 2008 with the opening of Volt, owned by "Top Chef" contestant Bryan Voltaggio. Volt features local ingredients and is located in a 19th-century town house.
