WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- President Obama will announce his proposals for combating gun violence in America, including what action he'd like to see from Congress, on Wednesday. Vice President Joe Biden delivered recommendations from a gun violence task force to the White House on Tuesday.
The controversy over assault weapons is expected to heat up. The president has said he will use his executive power if need be but he is relying on Congress to pass the most controversial measures.
