They are two of the 26 victims shot to death at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday. They were the first to be buried, on Monday, three days after a gunman forced his way into a place of learning to shoot and kill schoolchildren and staff.
Govenor Dan Malloy (D-Conn.) said: "You try to find some words you hope will be adequate, knowing that they'll be inadequate and you see little coffins and your heart has to ache."
