(WUSA) -- Six-year-old Jack Pinto was a sports fan who loved the New York Giants. Noah Pozner, also 6, was a mischievous child.

They are two of the 26 victims shot to death at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday. They were the first to be buried, on Monday, three days after a gunman forced his way into a place of learning to shoot and kill schoolchildren and staff.

Govenor Dan Malloy (D-Conn.) said: "You try to find some words you hope will be adequate, knowing that they'll be inadequate and you see little coffins and your heart has to ache."

Business News Daily reports that the Newtown post office has been taking calls all day from people wanting to send letters, care packages and drawings from children.
Monday, the Postal Service dedicated a post office box specifically for the town.

If you'd like to send your own condolences:

P.O. Box 3700, Newtown, Connecticut 06470.

The Newtown post office is expecting an enormous amount of mail.
