WASHINGTON (AP) -- Attorneys are wrapping up arguments in a hearing to determine whether three U.S. Naval Academy students will face a court-martial for allegedly sexually assaulting a female student.

A military prosecutor said Tuesday night that he believes there are grounds to move forward with a court-martial. He says the alleged victim was substantially incapacitated at an April 2012 party in Annapolis, Md., where she was allegedly assaulted.

But defense attorneys say the woman is a liar who has repeatedly perjured herself during the investigation.

The woman spent five days testifying. She said she had been drinking heavily and had no memory of having sex, but became concerned after hearing gossip shortly after the party that she'd had sexual relations with multiple people.

It could be weeks before the investigative officer who presided over the case makes a recommendation on whether to proceed to court-martial.
