FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 15 minutes at an apartment building in Forestville and fire officials say some residents will be displaced due to the blaze.
No one was hurt when a fire broke out in the three-story building in the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, say officials.
When firefighters arrived at the scene fire was showing from the top floor. A second alarm was sounded for additional firefighters to help battle the blaze.
When crews were searching the apartments, they found a marijuana grow room. The fire is believed to have started from this room. They are still investigating this.
A fire officials says that some residents will be displaced but did not have a number. The fire has been ruled out as accidental and the damage loss is estimated at $150,000.
Two other fires broke out in the same apartment building on November 6 and 13. Officials are meeting with apartment representatives to discuss the causes.
