COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Gubernatorial candidate Doug Gansler is opposing development on part of the University of Maryland Golf Course.

Gansler and his running mate, Jolene Ivey, are scheduled Tuesday to join other opponents of proposed plans to develop retail shops and housing on part of the golf course.

Gansler is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor.
