UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Bowie man has been convicted of sexually abusing a boy in his neighborhood.

Fifty-two-year-old Michael Brochu was convicted Friday of three counts of third degree sex offense, one count of child sex abuse, one count of second-degree sex offense, and one count of unnatural and perverted practices.

Friday's conviction is his second relating to abuse of young boys. Brochu was indicted in August 2012 after a victim claimed abuse occurred in 2011 and 2012 at Brochu's home and a community pool. Brochu was convicted in that case earlier this year and sentenced to 41 years in prison. Authorities say this victim claimed that the abuse took place at Brochu's home and at a racetrack in Bowie.

Brochu is scheduled to be sentenced on November 1.

Authorities say Brochu still has one more pending case on similar charges with another alleged victim. The case is set to begin in November.
