Police: man escaped would-be robbers in car

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) --  Police say a man was able to flee from a teen boy who got out of a car and threatened him at gunpoint on Friday morning.

Police say the responded to the 4400 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park on Friday at approximately 5:00 a.m.

A 53-year-old man told them he saw a black, two-door Honda Accord with two males inside drive past him very slowly. The Accord then circled around the block and drove by him again, reported the man.  The passenger got out and started walking to towards him. The passenger pointed a handgun at the man while threatening to shoot him, according to police.

The man decided to flee on foot. The male then chased him until he got close to a 7-Eleven, say police. At that point, the male ran back to the Accord and the vehicle drove away westbound on 1st Avenue towards Belle Grove Road, according to police.

Police say the suspects were only described as two black males in their teens
