TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Thursday afternoon, a 6-year-old boy was hit by a car while walking in Takoma Park, say police.
At approximately 12:12 p.m., Takoma Park Police say officers responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck. The pedestrian was a 6-year old boy, say police. He was conscious and breathing when he was transported to a local hospital for examination. Police say there were no "visible injuries."
Police tell us that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
