(WUSA9) -- Summer has come to an end for thousands of students in our region. Both Montgomery County and the D.C. students head back to school Monday.

You should expect roads crowded with school buses, and cross walks and sidewalks full of walking children.

WUSA 9's Delia Goncalves talked to Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Joshua Starr about the new year and the changes for the school system. See what he had to say in the video.

Speaking of back to school, we want to see your first day of school photos! Snap a picture of your little one headed off to school and email it to , tweet it to us @wusa9, or post it on our Facebook page -- Your photo will appear on and may be shown on TV!
