FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- At approximately 2:37 a.m. Thursday, a tractor trailer crashed on the ramp from westbound I-70 to Rt. 15 /340 westbound, say Maryland State Police. The driver lost control of the tractor trailer, and it left the road, tore out approximately 100 feet of guardrail and struck the concrete bridge abutment above Rt. 351.
The accident sent debris onto Rt. 351, causing two other collisions on that road.
The tractor trailer spilled diesel fuel onto the ramp and down onto Rt. 351. Crews put anti-skid down on the ramp from westbound I-70 to Rt. 15/ 340 westbound.
All lanes are now open.
