LEWISDALE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Authorities with the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office say officers arrested the man wanted in the murder of Eliezer Reyes on Monday.

Eliezer Reyes was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on December 5, 2012 near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Sheridan Street in Lewisdale. Another male was also shot and wounded in the incident, say authorities.

Detectives identified Luis Carlos Guzman-Ventura as the gunman. They didn't find him, however, until Monday.

Guzman-Ventura was found at a home in the 19000 block of White Fawn Drive in Petersburg, Va., say authorities. He tried to escape through a rear door but officers were able to apprehend him, according to authorities.

Authorities say Guzman-Ventura has been charged as a fugitive from Prince George's County, Md., and charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, say authorities.
