SEVERN, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man and a woman were arrested after an alarm went off at a Hess gas station on Saturday morning, say Anne Arundel County Police.
Police say Saturday at approximately 3:27 a.m., officers responded to the Hess gas station in the 1500 block of Annapolis Road in Severn for a report of an alarm. Officers saw someone trying to hide inside the business, say police. The man then fled the scene, but was captured after officers chased him on foot.
At some point, police say officers deployed a Taser on the man, who was identified as 35-year-old Lionel Mosley Eades of Washington DC, to bring him into custody. Police also say items from the business was recovered from Eades. Eades was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment after the taser deployment, according to police.
Police say officers found a woman nearby with a loaded handgun in her possession. They say 44-year-old Shirley Donnalee Bromfield of Wellington, Florida appeared to be acting as a lookout for the burglary suspect.
According to police, Eades was charged with burglary, destruction of property, theft, and resisting arrest while Bromfield was charged with burglary and multiple handgun violations.
