PARKVILLE, Md. (AP) - Baltimore County fire officials say seven people have been taken to area hospitals after they fell ill at a Parkville group home.
Officials say paramedics were called to the home for intellectually challenged men on Hillcrest Avenue on Sunday night for an unconscious man.
They say the man was taken to an area hospital, but paramedics were called back early Monday when several residents and employees felt ill. Six were taken to area hospitals.
A fire department hazardous materials team and the Maryland Department of the Environment are evaluating the air to determine what made people sick.
Division Chief Michael Robinson says no foul play is suspected, but officials are trying to determine whether a mix of household chemicals or a pesticide may have caused the problem.
