HAGERSTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two tractor trailers collided after a lane of southbound I-81 north of MD 68 was closed, say Maryland State Police. One man was sent to the hospital.

According to police, 71-year-old E. Waidley Jr. was unable to control his speed to avoid colliding with the second tractor trailer, which was operated by 33-year-old H. Ramon.

Ramon was transported to Meritus Medical Center, say police. They did not disclose his condition.

Police say this crash was due to I-81 southbound being closed for a fatal accident in West Virginia.
