FREDERICK Md. (WUSA9) -- A Frederick teen will serve seven years for shooting his friend in the chest.
According to police, Dylan Jesse Gray, 18, was playing video games with friends when he heard a knocking at the door. After continuous knocking, he became annoyed and grabbed a handgun to scare his friend who was coming over, officials said.
Thinking the gun was not loaded, Gray shot the 16-year-old victim in the chest, gave the gun to another friend and fled the scene, officials said.
The victim survived but the bullet remains in his chest.
