High water on Riffle Ford Road in Montgomery County on May 24 (WUSA9)
DARNESTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- A portion of Riffle Ford Road in Montgomery County is closed due to high water on Friday morning, say police. Officers are posted at Riffle Ford and Darnestown roads.

Earlier Friday morning, high water also closed Davis Mill Road and Blunt Road in Gaithersburg as well as New Hampshire Avenue at Brighton Dam Road. At the New Hampshire Avenue location, a driver was trapped in his vehicle for a while but was able to get out and onto the roof, say police. Then the man got away on his own.
