OCEAN CITY, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Ocean City fishing pier that was heavily damaged during Superstorm Sandy is now back open.
Town officials held a ceremony on Friday marking the reconstruction and re-opening of the pier.
Mayor Rick Meehan made the ceremonial first cast at the landmark.
The fishing pier was first completed in 1907 and runs 489 feet into the ocean.
