COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man was shot and killed outside of his apartment in Columbia, Md. early Thursday morning, Howard County police said.
Omar Oliver, 39, of the 5200 block of Brook Way, was shot at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after an altercation with an unknown suspect or set of suspects, police say.
According to police, a 911 call was made by a member of Oliver's family after they said they heard arguing and gun shots outside.
When that person looked out the window they saw Oliver on the ground near the apartment building, police said. According to the report, another family member attempted to perform CPR on Oliver before paramedics arrived.
Police say Oliver was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives do not have a suspect right now and they say they do not have a motive either.
