CLINTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two people are dead after an argument turned deadly in Clinton, marring Prince George's County with four domestic-related fatalities in one week.

According to Prince George's County police, 41-year-old Denise Taffe was killed by her estranged husband, 47-year-old Jason Taffe of Silver Spring, at her home in Clinton.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 7700 block of Pinewood Drive around 10:30 Wednesday night. When police arrived at the scene they found the bodies of a man and a woman in the yard, both suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say their preliminary investigation reveals Jason Taffe came to Denise Taffe's home and they got into an argument that escalated and became physical. According to police, Mr. Taffe pulled out a shotgun and fired at his estranged wife. He then turned the gun on himself and took his own life, say police.

This latest incident has left the county with a total of four domestic-related fatalities in one week.
