MOUNT RAINIER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two men were shot in separate incidents Tuesday night in Seat Pleasant and Mount Rainier, say Prince George's County police. One of the men died from his injuries.

The victim is identified as 23-year-old Michael Nolan Brownman, who died from a gunshot wound to the upper body inside a home in the 600 block of Cabin Branch Drive at approximately 10:20 p.m., say police. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation shows multiple suspects entered the victim's home and demanded money at gunpoint.  The confrontation escalated and Brown was fatally shot, police said.

His death is the 31st homicide this year in the county, say police.

Another man was shot earlier in the night  near a public pool in the 3100 block of Arundel Road, according to police.  The victim was found sitting in a vehicle with a gun shot wound to the upper body.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, say police.

Police have not established a motive in the shooting.
