ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- St. Mary's County authorities say a registered sex offender was arrested after lying about where he lived.
According to officials, detectives received information on April 30, 2013 that a registered sex offender had registered as homeless in Calvert County, Md. but was living on Hunting Quarters Drive in St. Mary's County.
Following a surveillance operation and executing a search and seizure warrant of the St. Mary's County residence, police say the confirmed 46-year-old Robert A. Ouraud was residing and working in St. Mary's County.
Authorities say Ouraud since failed to register in St. Mary's County as required by law, he was arrested and charged with Failing to Register as a Tier III Sex Offender, and Failing to Notify St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office within 5 days of Change of Address.
He is being held without bond at the detention center.
