Police: Md. Man Died From Blunt Force Trauma

BRANDYWINE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for answers in a death investigation in Brandywine.

Police say 55-year-old Alphonso Ray Drew's body was discovered Sunday at 5:30 p.m. inside his home in the 12900 block of Cherry Tree Crossing Road. Officers had responded for a check on welfare call.

According to police, an autopsy conducted Monday morning determined Drew died as a result of blunt force trauma.  They say detectives are still working to establish suspect(s) and a motive.
