LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police say a woman pushing a shopping cart in Laurel was robbed at knife-point on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to the 200 block of Easton South, near the Giant grocery store, for a report of a robbery at approximately 3:20 p.m. Wednesday. A woman told police she was pushing the car on Easton South when she was approached by a man who started talking to her. Then, the man pulled out a knife and pointed at her, demanding her purse, say police. The woman told police the man removed the purse from her arm.
Police say the woman was not injured during the robbery.
Police are still looking for the robber, who they have described as a Hispanic male in his 30's, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, and wearing a white t-shirt and tan shorts.
