GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- He killed a promising teenage female recruit before turning the gun on himself Monday. But could Staff Sgt. Adam Arndt have been preying on even more teenage girls?

Here's what we do know: Police say 31-year-old Army recruiter Adam Arndt shot 17-year-old Michelle Miller to death in his Germantown townhouse, then killed himself Monday. We also know he was married to a 21-year-old recruit who friends say he met when she enlisted at the Gaithersburg recruiting center where he worked.

Now, Montgomery County police are trying to find out who else he may have been involved with.

Paul Starks of Montgomery County Police shares, "There's always that possibility when you hear about one." So, police are leaving no stone unturned in their investigation.

Starks says, "Investigators are contacting those that were in the process of entering the Army Reserves this summer and may have had professional contact with Mr. Arndt."

Friends say Arndt and 17-year-old recruit Michelle Miller had some kind of romantic relationship. The star athlete's father apparently saying the Rockville High School senior seemed "a little smitten with this guy."

Arndt was married to a 21-year-old recruit when she enlisted. And you might find this disturbing, Arndt dressed up to take a Clarksburg High student to the prom last year, while he was married.

The Army is also looking into whether Arndt had any additional inappropriate relationships. Recruiters are not allowed to socialize or have personal relationships with recruits.

Tonight, this is top of mind for Montgomery County Police, says Starks, "We're reaching out, talking with people in the Army, talking with his family, her family, friends of each of them, and then anyone who may have had contact with Mr. Arndt, professionally."
