Man Who Tried To Rob Mikie's Restaurant In Glen Burnie, Md. Gets Pistol Whipped By Worker

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police say they are looking for a man who tried to rob a restaurant in Glen Burnie but was pistol-whipped by an employee on Wednesday morning.

According to police, at approximately 6 a.m. Wednesday a man with a gun entered Mikie's restaurant in the 1200 block of Crain Highway and confronted an employee. The two got into a fight and the worker was able to get the gun away from the man, say police. The worker then hit the man repeatedly with the gun until he fled the restaurant, according to police.

Police say they recovered the gun from the scene and searched the area for the man but could not find him.

The man is described as a black male in his late 20's to early 30's with a heavy build and dread locks. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white t-shirt underneath and black pants, according to police.
