HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- A man already behind bars has been charged with a 2012 fatal shooting, police say.
Prince George's County Police said 27-year-old Ronald Jefferson became a suspect during the course of the investigation and on March 4, he was served a warrant at the department of corrections.
The shooting took place in October 2012, when police were called out to the 1800 block of Village Green Drive in Palmer Park for reports of a shooting, police said.
When officers arrived they found 23-year-old old Dlonte Renard Days suffering from a gunshot wound inside his home. He was taken to the hospital where he died, police said.
Short has been charged with first degree murder and related charges. He remains in behind bars with no bond.
