Howard County Police Release Photo Of Suspect In Mall Indecent Exposure At The Mall in Columbia, Md.

COLUMBIA,  Md. (WUSA) - Police have released a photo of the suspect who was seen exposing himself at The Mall In Columbia.

Howard County police are asking the public to help identify the suspect, who was reportedly exposing himself near a group of girls at the mall on Jan. 13 at about 4:30 p.m.

Both police and mall security have reviewed surveillance video and have spotted the image of the man. Police were called to the mall when a woman reported seeing the man acting in a suspicious manner, staring at and following a group of girls. She told police that the suspect was carrying a coat over his arm,
hanging in front of his pants. As he walked by the woman, she could see that the man's genitals were exposed outside of his pants and he was touching himself.

The woman reported that the suspect continued to follow the girls and sat down in the food court when the girls sat down in the same area. A second witness also reported the same man to a mall security guard.

Police reviewed surveillance video and have confirmed that the man in this photo is the suspect as described by the witnesses.  He is described as a white male in his 50s, approximately 5'9"-6' tall, 250 lbs., with dark brown hair with some gray, thinning on top and parted on the side.

He is described as having thick eyebrows, square glasses and protruding teeth. The suspect had a short blue corduroy jacket with a wool collar, a black t-shirt with an unknown design on the front, gold or tan corduroy pants and a black belt.
